Saving a file in Chrome my keyboard types random letters and numbers 7 Recommended Answers 31 Replies 94 Upvotes

I had to replace my hard drive. Once I reinstalled Chrome, whenever I try to save a file and change the file name random letters and numbers are typed in the file name (not the letters I am typing). For example, if I try to save an attachment in Gmail to my hard drive and need to change the file name the letters I press on my keyboard are not the letters that display in the Save As box (I could press the letter "V" 5 times and what is typed is "t7k&2"). This doesn't happen with Edge...only Chrome...and only when saving a file.
