Chrome screen freezes when I switch between two virtual desktops. I use VScode in one desktop and
chrome in other desktop, my all tabs are freezes and even my YouTube screen is blacked after switching.
Anyone facing the  same issue, please help.

Yep.  Just started happening to me within the past 2 weeks.  I use 5 virtual desktops.  When I switch to chrome from another desktop, Chrome is frozen.  I also notice that all I have to do is click outside of the Chrome window onto any other area of the desktop, Chrome starts responding again.

I originally thought it was a Windows update that caused it so I uninstalled and blocked the update but that had no affect.  Its not a huge issue so I haven't spent much time on it, but if I find a solution, I'll post back here.  I doubt this is affecting too many people since this is such a unique situation.

I haven't found a solution yet but I thought I should report something I found interesting.  If I click on the Chrome icon on the taskbar to switch to the Chrome desktop, then Chrome freezes.   If I use the 4-finger swipe method (laptop touch pad mouse) to change to the desktop that Chrome is open on, it doesn't freeze.

I've also started experiencing this in the last week or so. I can also use the same workaround that Silverton mentions, but obviously it's not ideal

Same problem. Disabling "Calculate window occlusion on Windows" worked for me. Prior to that, pressing the Windows button to bring up the start menu (then dismissing it) worked around the issue -- less severe than relaunching Chrome and whatnot but still annoying.

FWIW I do not have this problem on all my machines -- just one (so far). I regularly use 5 different Windows machines and only 1 of them exhibits this issue.
