Continually getting popup of UPDATE NOW

I had to stop Google as my default because I continually get this message as soon as I log on. IMPORTANT Update Needed This extension might stop working soon. I have the same problem, that seems to be a virus driven popup? I think it's going in send you to a "pirate site" if you log in. How can it be removed permanently?

It now seems to have disapeared and after a pop up box, rather than the whole screen as before, saying "Update Now." After ignoring it, it has also disappeared. I did do a variety of things, reboot etc., but not sure if one made a difference. Sorry for my lack of more information.

Also having this problem! Have resorted to not using Chrome but would like to stop this happening rather than cancel Chrome. Anyone have an idea?

The first screen comes up and when I click on Update Chrome, the second screen appears and then locks up and have to het ctrl,Alt, Del to close Chrome, very disturbing!!

Try clearing your Chrome cache and restart Chrome

Go to extensions on your chrome browser and remove the extension. It was Popup+ on my chrome. Uninstalled and fixed the problem.
