How can I remove the ads on the top of my screen?

Hey guys, I have this very annoying as bar that pops up at the top of my screen when using the chrome app. It is not there on any other browser app I've tried, only chrome. I've tried different ad blockers and other ad solutions i could find, but nothing has worked for me. I don't usually use adblockers, especially now with the excessive adds already blocked by the chrome browser. But this bar thingy-ma-ging is the most annoying as I've ever seen.

Do these appear on sites you'd not expect to see such adverts ?

They appear randomly, some sites don't have them, others do. I believe it's mostly on sites with very few to no ads that it appears. And it's not always that it appears on the same site. I can change menus on the site 10 times and only see the ad 2 times, or every time. It's very sporadic in its appearance.
