After updating Chrome to Chrome 74.0.3729.108 on 24 April 2019, I have encountered a problem when trying to delete my browsing data. I delete all the browsing data every day, sometimes multiple times a day (even going into the "Cookies" section of settings). I use the "Advanced" settings to delete everything, cookies and all.
After updating Chrome, I have noticed that I cannot delete the data - when I click "Clear Data", the circle just keeps spinning round and round.
At first, I thought it was because my laptop - a Windows 10, Version 1809 - was downloading updates. This did seem to temporarily fix the problem, for about three hours, but the problem has returned. I have run a full scan on my anti-virus and have also run Chrome's "Harmful Software" check, and both came back clean.
I have also tried uninstalling Chrome and then reinstalling Chrome, but the problem persists.
Any help would be appreciated
UPDATE (3 JUNE 2019): After having spent the weekend using Chrome (following an update to 74.0.3729.169) the issue seems to have been resolved. Thank you to everyone who responded for their help.
