Inverted colors on Chrome browser, brand new Mac

I saw several people ask this question and get totally unhelpful answers, but the threads are closed and I couldn't post a reply there. For all you out there going through the same thing, I figured it out!
It's an extension issue, and an extension I didn't remember installing ever. In any case, to fix it, go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/high-contrast/djcfdncoelnlbldjfhinnjlhdjlikmph and make sure it's not installed. If it is installed, just remove it and your browser will work normally again. That worked for me.
