When I open chrome my bluetooth headphones have audio for 1 video, if i finish that video and open another, the sound is no longer played through my headphones and comes directly out of my built in speakers. When I completely restart the browser I have sound through my headphones again, but only  for 1 video.  Also if I pause the video, when I press play again, the sound will immediately switch from headphones to built in speakers.

My computer and browser are up to date. I do not have this problem with wired headphones.

I dont have this problem with any other apps. Eg; the sound will switch and start playing through the built in speakers, but if I open the netflix app, music player or any other software, the sound will be played back through my headphones.

I have the same problem. All music, MS EDGE, plays the audio perfectly on my bluetooth headset, but NOT CHROME! This is a brand new HP laptop. Wired headphones work perfectly. We know it's not the environment because other apps work perfectly with my bluetooth headphones. CHROME IS THE ONLY BROWSER WHERE IT BREAKS!!!  The word online is that Chrome's had a whole bunch of problems with bluetooth not playing audio.

I also have that same problem. It used to work well with my echo, but today there is no sound through echo when using Chrome. When disconnected, I can hear the sound on Chrome through the laptop. But other browsers do not have such problem and apparently it is not echo's problem.

I had this exact same problem so I want into sound in (windows Setting, just search sound in setting windows), scrolled down to advanced sound option and clicked app volume and device preference. When i looked at my output and input for chrome and saw that they were not set at default  but something else, so i set it to default and it started working. hope this helps you out.
