Like the title says, my Chrome is stuck with Incognito colors (black header and background) when in normal mode. This makes it confusing as to what mode I am in. It happened after a glitch/crash that prevented Chrome from closing while I was in Incognito. I've tried re-installing Chrome and that did not fix the issue.

I have a similar problem on my iPad after Chrome updated itself. It has lost all my open tabs, it is stuck in dark mode, and when I open a new tab it says "you've gone incognito" even though I never selected that option.

Turns out my Mac did have Dark Mode enabled. I wish there was a way to decouple it from Chrome as the fact that they were linked was obviously not intuitive.

Dark mode and incognito having identical or virtually the same color scheme is so stupid.

My Samsung 9 is stuck on incognito too. Can't fix it. Going to need to change browsers.
