So this message popped up last week on all my google chrome's for no reason. I have not made any changes, im still logged in with the same account as i have been for 5 years, and this hasn't happened before. It is a totally normal @gmail account, so this "Your browser is managed by your organization" message creeps me out. How do i get rid of it / fix it?

I don't have a chromebook, i don't have an organisation, it is my totally normal email which i have used to log into chrome.

I have the same thing. If this is a "april fools" joke, it's really not very funny, I'm pretty annoyed by it.

If you are in developer mode, try these commands in a Linux shell:
$ sudo su
# cd /home/root/{your_root_folder}/session_manager/policy
# mv policy policy.bk
All policies will now be removed. But if you aren't in dev mode, try resetting the Chromebook. If your system still has policies after resetting, turn on dev mode and do this:
$ sudo rm /etc/chromium/policies/managed
