My browser keeps crashing when I cast to TV

It began today. Whenever I hit the cast to TV on my Chrome browser, it suddenly closes all Chrome tabs and Chrome windows, even if the video I wanted to cast is in a separate window. Both Chromecast and Roku casting. It's only happening on the desktop browser.

I have this issue as well. I am using Chrome version 126.0.6478.62 on macOS Sonoma version 14.5. It has begun crashing immediately upon casting.

Yep, Beta works. Pity I had to skip Edge and had to return to Chrome. Is this Google competing MS :)?

Download Chrome Beta Channel. To check if this resolves your problem, you will also receive Chrome features one month earlier than the stable version.

Yes I can also stream from my phone so its definately a browser issue.

Try the Beta version of Chrome. I didn't think it would be that easy but it is. It does work. And it only took about two minutes total (only cuz I included the bitching and moaning--mine, not the Beta's).

Today I was asked to upgrade my Chrome and started happening to me, I do right-click and cast so that works for now but when will there be a fix?

It's working now. I you upgrade to Version 126.0.6478.127 (Official Build) (arm64)

or higher.

This happens to me when I try casting from a browser to a Nest Hub Max. It's been going on for a few days now.

Kinda funny. You'd think the first step in the test plan might be, um test?

It'd meke sense for an unusual situation like casting fom my Razr to my Magnavox console tv, but this isn't.

i actually just updated to Version 126.0.6478.127 (Official Build) (arm64) and it is working correctly now; no crash.
