How do we manage Async DNS for Chrome in an organization? 0 Recommended Answers 0 Replies 3 Upvotes

I work at an organization where we are required by company policy to prohibit user access to certain types of websites and content.
To do this we use a firewall with content and geo-IP filtering; however when using Chrome, users are able to bypass these flters to access sites that should be prohibited.
For instance, tiktok.com resolves to an IP address in Singapore and would be blocked; however, traffic from Chrome users to this site are being "tunneled" through a Google datacenter IP address in a nearby large city.  This appears to be related to the Async DNS technology, but I'm not entirely sure given that all traffic on the browser appears to be rerouted.
We have downloaded the latest Chrome AD GPO templates, but none of the setting changes that we have experimented with have been able to disable this behavior.
If we are unable to turn this off, we will be forced to remote Chrome from our network entirely.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
