Can't disable Chrome Mobile video autoplay. Have set to Blocked in Site Settings; still autoplaying 0 Recommended Answers 75 Replies 524 Upvotes

Have gone to Advanced Settings -->Site Settings  and set video autoplay to BLOCKED. However, this is useless. Videos still autoplay every time. How to fix before I abandon Chrome entirely?

For me, the Site Settings, Media setting is gone from the menu.

You need to disable java feature in settings. Chrome forcing user playing videos in background for monetary reasons.

The Site Settings-->MEdia setting has disappeared entirely from both my desktop and mobile Chrome versions. WTF is going on here?

Same here. Trying to listen to music and read but a stupid video keeps auto playing. Media options in settings has gone. Can't be bothered anymore. Uninstalled Chrome and now using Firefox which has a nice and easy disable autoplay option.

Same here. MEDIA is not an option in my site settings. Neither is video or similarnoption. 
The autoplay does not start, but every time i scroll past a video, any music/podcast will be paused as long as the video is in the picture. Very disturbing.

Agree autoplay is NOT fixed.  MacBook Pro desktop chrome Version 80.0.3987.132 (Official Build) (64-bit) has no media or site setting options. Autoplay SO ANNOYING that I am ditching chrome and going back to Safari or may try Firefox.
