Chrome Crashes When Trying to Access Passwords in Password Manager

I can no longer access any of my saved passwords from Password Manager. Any time I try to view a password, Chrome stops responding.

I have tried reinstalling chrome. I am on a M2 MacBook Pro. I experienced the same issue before the upgrade to M2.
Chrome: Version 119.0.6045.159 (Official Build) (arm64)

Hey there,

To fix your issue please follow these steps:

Check if your MacBook Pro is experiencing resource related issues. High resource usage (CPU or memory) can sometimes lead to browser crashes. Check Activity Monitor (Command + Space, then type "Activity Monitor") to see if there are any unusual spikes in resource usage.

Create a new Chrome user profile to check if the issue is specific to your current profile. Go to Chrome Settings > People > Add Person to create a new profile then try accessing the Password Manager in the new profile.

If still you're facing the same problem then lastly try this:
Go to Chrome Settings > Advanced > Reset settings. This will reset Chrome to its default settings. Be aware that this action will remove your extensions, themes and settings but your bookmarks, history and saved passwords will remain.

Hope it helps :)
