Chrome switch camera option 0 Recommended Answers 87 Replies 1092 Upvotes

Chrome doesn't offer camera switch option for sites(Unlike Firefox) even going to site settings and changing default camera it just use my windows 10 tablet's rear camera instead of front camera.

However I can use switch camera on hangout because it has he option embedded to web app itself

Add the option to switch camera easily(for example Google Duo and other web video chat apps), having the option to use both camera at once would be good, but switch camera is essential.

I have the same issue. I work from home off a Surface 10 Pro tablet that also functions as a laptop/desktop when connected to my dock. I use my dock for meetings at my desk. However on the road, Chrome tries to detect my Logi Capture webcam at my desk instead of defaulting to my tablet's built-in camera. It is frustrating. I have to be near my dock in order to have it connect for the selection drop down option to work. Photo attached of it being unchangeable.

Same issue here, please make it possible to change the default webcam and microphone. You can change it in site settings, but nothing actually changes!

Same issue; I have 4 cameras and can't choose the one I need when running a webinar. Tried the "Ask before accessing" but turns ALL cameras on / off -- can't disable some and enable one as default.

Having troubles using default camera with YouTube or some apps. You can go to Windows All Settings - Privacy - Camera, turn off the allow apps to access your camera and then turn it on again. It might work.
