Some Website seen in other language but detect that language as english

Some specific English websites are showing in the Nepali (preeti font) language. This happens even if the website options are set to English. (Eg Anydex /cpdbox.com)

Chrome is set to English
Windows is set to English
The website is set to English if that option is available

It seems that chrome has decided to translate the page without my permission.

This happens with all chromium based browsers like Chrome, Edge and Opera. It does not happen with Firefox.

99.9% of websites display correctly in English. But the odd one displays in the  nepali language which is annoying.

Just tried an experiment. I opened a problem page and copied all the text that appears in preeti font on the website into Microsoft word. In Word, everything appears correctly in English. But on the actual webpage it appears in other language i.e preeti font. I have no idea Why Chrome is doing this. Firefox works fine.

Another experiment. I copied the "Preeti font" text from a website and entered it in Google translate. In Google translate the text appeared in English, Not Nepali.

So this makes me think that Chrome is not actually translating. but instead of using an English font, is using a preeti font. Probably some code in the problem websites is causing Chrome to use the wrong fonts. Or there may be a problem in the Chrome registry on my machine that is causing font substitution.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Your advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards
sagar
