My browser won't display the digit 9. I get a dash instead. For example, the year 2019 is displayed as 201-- 2 Recommended Answers 54 Replies 156 Upvotes

Using Safari verifies that the websites are fine...they have "9's".

Yeah, I'm getting this too.. same situation.. it's a date field that ends 2019..but shows 201-
Other years works fine.. but any digit with the number 9 is showing as a long dash.. that includes like 09/09/2019 comes out as 0-/0-/201-
This is a Windows machine with Chrome latest version of Chrome ending 3626.121

I am getting this error, too... glad I'm not the only one!  I am on an iMac Pro, MacOS Mojave (10.14.3), and am getting the dash error in Google Chrome, but no problems with Firefox.

(For some reason I can't post the version numbers)

I have same issue. Number 9 is replaced with a dash, but if you look source code, then 9 is there.
Looks like problem is when font-family is not common (meaning what is included in OS).
When font-family is loaded externally, from Google Fonts or from somewhere else, then 9's are replaced with dashes. When I change from DevTools font-family to Arial, 9 is displayed.

Please try this fix: go to -->  Chrome preferences  --> Appearances  --> Customize Fonts  --> Change 'Sans-Serif' Font to Arial (instead of Helvetica). Big Helvetica fan here, but, even after eliminating any Helvetica duplicates, the problem would return over time.  -ML
