Google gets my IP address location wrong! 0 Recommended Answers 112 Replies 852 Upvotes

I've had this problem for over 2 months now. Google is showing me places near a city that is over 700 kms away from me. Everytime I try to look for something I only get suggestions in this city (unless I actually include my city on the search bar). I've already read a ton of websites but nothing has fixed this problem. Nothing. It's so infuriating.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or how to contact someone from Google that can look into this? I don't know if that's even possible.

I've had this problem for over 3 years now, over 3000km off. I submitted feedback well over 10 times about it, but never could get a human on Google's side to do anything about it.

I disabled my phone's Wi-Fi location, only allowing GPS location.  STILL, I need to go in my phone's Maps twice a day to keep Google seeing my account in the correct location (and still, not 100% of the time).

The morale is: don't hold your breath, Google doesn't care.

This is very annoying.
We also have the problem that chrome think company is from Romania ?! when in fact we are in Denmark.
Every IP location tool says we are from Denmark, but still chrome insist that we are from Romania.

Same for us too. We are an IT servicing company and our customer has to deal with location Russia while they are in the Netherlands.

I too found out that Google uses an own location database, that's fine of course, but there is no way to request an change in case of wrong location reference.

This is taking to much of our time. Please Google, a fair fix! Even if we have to wait for weeks.
