Why doesn't Google allow extensions in Chrome Mobile Browser?

Why doesn't Google allow extensions in Chrome Mobile Browser? I have been a loyal Chrome Mobile user for about ten years now and I don't understand why Google refuses to allow extensions. I recently started using Microsoft Edge as my mobile browser because unlike Google they allow extensions to be installed. Is this ever going to change?

Hi Dale,

Microsoft Edge on mobile does also not support browser extensions.
Currently, Google Chrome support only Chrome extension on his desktop web browser.

Hello,

Google will not enable extensions for Chrome on Android, because of adblock extensions. Google's main revenue comes from ads, if extensions are enabled people will install extensions like ad blocker. Users will get fill of ad free browsing on chrome and do not prefer apps as well.

Unfortunately, Google Chrome users on Android don't get the same treatment. This is because Google doesn't provide a way to add Chrome extensions to its mobile browser.

Thank You
BAS

Use Kiwi, its a Chromium based browser that can install Chrome extensions. This is an intentional design on Google's part to not allow extensions on Chrome for Android, they don't care that millions of their users want that feature, they care more about the advertising revenue.
