how can I get the menu bar back on the top of the page, I need the "File" "Edit" View" "Favorites" 'Tools" "Help" options back on there

Hi there,

Since the first Google Chrome version, there is no "File", "Edit, "Window",... menubar.
It was the wrench icon and page icon, and then the hamburger icon. That is now the 3 dots icon.

However, I created also a Chrome extension to get this kind of menu back. See on the Chrome web store for Proper Menubar.

Hi there,

Everything you need is in the 3 dots menu.
However, you can search for a Chrome extension in the Chrome web store if you want something specific about bookmarks or need a toolbar, or menubar.

Hi. I uploaded Proper Menubar. Right now I see the horizontal menu bar across the top of this web page. But, when I'm on another page and click on the little black +, I get a message that reads: Proper Menubar doesn't work on this webpage. Please try another page.

This is so frustrating. Any suggestions?

Mine just went away today. It has been there for years I don't understand why they are saying there never was one. I never added an extension for it on all 3 computers. It disappeared on my work computer, I'll see my other ones when I get home. This is so frustrating.

Thank you! Have windows and followed Bonnie's link - downloaded and found black square with white plus in top right hand corner in extensions bar. In the meantime used Timothy's comment -the ctrl o which is what I needed but have it there for backup! :-)
