After using Google search (in Chrome) and obtaining results, then selecting "Tools", the dropdown filters for "time" and "results" do not work.  (i.e., mouse cursor does not change to a selection-pointer icon and nothing happens when clicking on dropdown.)  Standard troubleshooting steps (uninstalling and re-installing Chrome, rebooting computer, etc.) do not help.  I have determined that this only occurs when signed into my primary Google account, and these tool dropdowns operate normally when signed into a different Google account, even while using the same Chrome browser on the same computer.  The dropdowns also work normally when performing a Google search using Microsoft Edge browser.

actually this problem got fixed in my case by doing a "Restore settings to their original defaults" , under Settings/Advanced/Reset and Cleanup

I also have this problem, and I tried Restoring settings to their original defaults to no avail. Not really sure what else I can do about this.

Hi BB3,
Welcome to the Google Chrome Forum!  I'll try my best to help.
Try using another Chrome User profile and see if the problem is there...
Click on the name next to the Minimize button (Windows), select "Manage People"
Select to "Add Person"  (at the bottom).. See if you have the problem while in this User Profile...
After you are done, just switch back to your Username by closing this window.

Try clicking on the "New Incognito Window" while signed in.  This opened up a new window without sigining in and worked for me.

same here. It works from another profile. When I sign in to this profile , stops working

It seems to work with another Chrome profile, but doesn't with the main one.
