Every time McAfee runs, my search engine changes from GC to Yahoo. How can I stop this?

You will need to decide whether McAfee's "safe search" adds any value. Google Search also provides that feature: https://www.google.com/safesearch

(My first instinct is to tell you to stop using McAfee.)
I found this page at the McAfee site: McAfee WebAdvisor changed my search engine
That page explains that the problem is the "use safe search" option that is selected by default. To prevent the unwanted change, un-tick the safe search box.
