[2021]How to disable search history appearing in the chrome address bar

I still don't understand why this feature is created and cannot turn off. I tried some old ways, but none of them still works now. Does any way still work in late 2021?

There is no way to disable this feature.

Hi Hogo

1. Go into your Google Account

2. Click on "Privacy & personalisation"

3. Click on "Web & App Activity"

4. Turn "Web & App Activity" Off by clicking on it

You shouldn't see that pop up anymore and if you do you will need to clear your browsing data by

1. Clicking on the three dots

2. Click "More Tools" then "Clear Browsing Data"

3. Make sure the Time range is selected to "All Time" and make sure "Browsing History" is selected then click "Clear data"
