After the most recent Chrome update (3 days ago), I can no longer access the print dialog when trying to print from Chrome. It will open the print dialog menu and allow me to select the printer and settings, but once I click "Print" a screen comes up that says "Aw Snap, error 10."

I cannot use any of my 4 printers from the print dialog menu anymore.

Try a quick browser reset in case a setting or extension is causing the issue.
If that fixes the issue add your extensions back 1 at a time so that if the problem reoccurs you know which extension caused it.

Hi all,

I'm having the same problem on macOS Catalina and Big Sur.
I tried to disable extensions, clear cache and re-install chrome, but problem persists.

We are using Macs in a school environment.  I have multiple teachers who get the "Aww shucks - something went wrong" window when trying to print using the system dialog.  It just started this week.  It seems to only be a problem with printing Google Docs.  Printing other tabs including Google Slides is no problem.

We use mostly Xerox printers but I've tried printing to other standard laser printers and got the same thing.  On some of the computers, they can hit the "reload" button and then try printing again with success.  On others it won't work at all.  For now they are saving as a PDF, then opening it with the Preview app (build into macOS).  They can print fine from there.

We have restarted the computers.  All browsers are fully up to date.  I have cleared the cache and reset the browsers.  I have had them log out and back into the browser.  I have removed unnecessary browser extensions.  Nothing seems to help.

Try printing using option-command-P. It somehow worked for me, I have no idea why.

I work in K-12 and we are starting to see this too. We have uninstalled browser, reinstalled to the latest Chrome 90, we have ran Malwarebytes on our mac, removed all extensions, reset Chrome, cleared cache and cookies. This Aw, Snap! error appears while trying to print to Canon or HP printers when using the option to "Print using system dialog" option. If we just pick command P and then click print it works, but teachers need to use the system dialog box to select different option when printing. This seems to only be impacting files in Google docs, sheets, drive, etc. I can print like normal from a webpage.

I sure hope they find a fix as this is frustrating to teachers as we finish out the school year.

Nick Helms suggestion to use option-command-P not only worked to print the page I was trying to print, it also seems to have solved the issue within chrome.

After successfully printing the page, I made another attempt using the Chrome Dialog to "Print using System Dialog" as I normally did in the past (prior to this issue) and it worked as usual.  🤷‍♂️

Got Google Chrome update 90.0.4430.212 today, and looks like the problem is solved.
It worked on Catalina and Big Sur.
