Error message Windows Vista

After uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome, I am still getting the error message that I will no longer receive updates because I am using Windows Vista. How do I fix that?

I posted an override for the Vista and XP operating systems. Please follow my instructions in this thread, or switch to Mozilla Firefox or the Opera browser:

I would still highly recommend switching to Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or any of the many other supported browsers.

While my fix turns off the message, you will NOT receive further Google Chrome updates.

Since Microsoft will be supporting Vista for at least another year, I don't comprehend Google's reasoning for dropping support this early.

Thanks so much for your response... I will definitely try that link.  I was wondering if it meant they were no longer going to send them that I would have to do the updates manually, but I won't be able to do that either?  They're just getting rid of Vista altogether... That's too bad, I liked Google Chrome..
