Chrome 45 (stable) both Mac and PC is messing up the display of Wordpress admins.

Here's an example:

Having same issue. Very bizarre. I notice that things reflow and sort-of-work if I resize the window a bit

Also having troubles with the page locking up. If I try a window resize, the entire rendered area is replaced with a blank grey square

Same here.  Almost seems as if you make the browser windows smaller than the nav, things work ok.  Also if the right content is longer and scrollable, the nav seems ok as well.

Hi everyone,

I'd recommend trying Canary to see if the problem still exists. It was mentioned by another user that Canary fixed the problem. Let me know if you guys are still experiencing issues. Hope to get this resolved for you!

Hi Tai, I just installed Canary 47.0.2498.0, but unfortunately it did not fix the WordPress admin problem.

The resizing was the only way around it when using Chrome beta.

I had to revert to the stable public release and it was fine after that (though not ideal) but another user is saying that is now breaking the layouts.

Here's a plugin I made to do the resizing and back to normal really fast on admin screens on the meantime:

https://github.com/raffjones/chrome-admin-menu-fix - this has been confirmed as working on Stack Overflow, and should cover you until Google sort Chrome.

Cheers!

- Steve

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the report!  This is a currently known Regression bug in Chrome 45 with display problems on Wordpress administration panel, and you can add a STAR to the following issue to be notified of updates to bug fixing:

https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=509179  -  WordPress administration panel is not displayed properly

Suggested workaround:   Disable Chrome's slimming paint by going to  chrome://flags/#disable-slimming-paint  and set it for Enabled
