Blue Screen of Death

Hey,

I have noticed since using (and loving) Google Chrome that I have been getting BSOD's (Blue Screen of Death) - which I never ever got before using it.

I am unsure of how to get any reports of it to send to you, the only stuff I can find is the following which I copied and pasted (although I am convinced it wont be of any use to you) about the last couple of crashes.

Can any one help me because I am now not able to use it due to the BSOD's!!!!! and I love Chrome.

Thanks

P.S. any guidance on creating any information you need would be appreciated.

Reece

My Thinkpad which is running XP began blue-screening after I installed Chrome 6 weeks ago. The error code pointed to an outdated BIOS version and an outdated version of IBM's Rescue and Recovery program. But after upgrading both the blue-screening persisted often more than once daily.

Last week I uninstalled Chrome and voila! No more blue-screening.

Hey,
I've also been getting blue screened quite a bit. I'm thinking of uninstalling chrome and going to safari or something. Any suggestions on how to fix chrome?

too all those having BSOD, most of the time this happens as a result of a poorly written device driver (as only ring 0 code can bring the OS down)
so my suggestion is this

if this happened while playing music, find an updated driver for your sound card
if this happened for no apparent reason, try to update your network card driver
but all in all, i would simply update all the drivers and apply  all the OS updates you can get from microsoft

i am working in computers and these BSOD bugs are really nearly impossible to solve, just update the drivers and hope

I too got BSODs while using google chrome.

And once, all chrome windows showed an icon and a message claiming that scripts take up too much memory.

this happened to me while editing some articles at demigod.wikia.com

I've gotten about four BSODs with the memory dump warning - ONLY when I'm using Chrome. Never has happened with FireFox. Am hoping this error has been fixed with the latest Chrome update. If not, it's back to Foxy for me.

For all those posting here about BSODs, please send a dump file to the Chrome team via the link Shawn posted earlier. If you don't know how to get a dump, please read the referenced link below. If in case you're unable to get a dump at all, then please post all info about your BSOD, especially the error number. There are different kinds of BSODs, so telling us you had one won't help if we don't know exactly what BSOD error you have.

I have isolated why it happens (for me anyway) but not how to fix it. It seems that whenever you click links or buttons too quickly (seems to only happen when clicking links while page is still loading) it causes the screen to lockup then the BSOD happens.
It says it's a stack error on the BSOD page if that helps.

I also got Blue Screen in Windows 7 x64 RTM when I use Chrome from time to time. Particularly when I used Chrome to play facebook game Restaurant City (http://apps.facebook.com/restaurantcity). I have changed to use IE8 to play facebook games now.

I get BSOD randomly upon closing a tab or the entire browser. Running XP on a fresh install and recent reformat.
At the time I'm posting there have been 70+ people with this problem, and yet I see no real response from the Chrome support team.
I guess that means we should all switch to the competition.
