How do you change the external application settings?

How do you change the remembered settings for the "External Protocol Request" popup?  I clicked "remember my choice for all links of this type" but now I want to change that setting.

I do not remember such question during a popup. You can look in the following settings. Go to Wrench icon > Options > Under the hood. Look at
1. By Downloads, look at Clear auto opening settings
2. By Networks, look at Change proxy settings

Thanks, but neither of those options seem to be related to external applications launched by links. The auto opening setting is for certain file types that will open when the download completes, as far as I know.

Can you give me an example of an application that you are opening?  if on a website, which one?

Here is an example:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ibooks/id364709193?mt=8
When you click "View in iTunes" it opens iTunes to the correct info page. Unless you've already disabled it you should see the popup I'm talking about. The popup title is "External Protocol Request."

Humm... I am using Chrome v10.0.648.204, and I do not see any popup when I go to View in iTunes.

Go to Options > Under the hood > Content Settings > Popups. Do you see any there or under exception?

These settings are for standard pop-ups, this one I am talking about is a window from Chrome with information on the program that will be executed.

Found it in another not-too-related help thread. In the user data folder, ("\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data" on my xp64) in the Local State file, look inside of:

"protocol_handler": {
"excluded_schemes": {

for things set to false, and (I assume) delete their line to reset them.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed!
For those of us on Windows 7 (and I think Vista too), press Win-R and paste this into the window to get to the right folder:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
