Platon Koukidisuserdata/default folder balloons up to 300+ GB
so I've seen this happen three different times now. Users\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default is the folder fills up with hundreds of thousand TMP files like "00f0909f-38c9-45ab-907e-b11354161ec1" or "TransportSecurity~RF4d369dba"
I've seen where it fills up the Cache folder before and clearing browser data fixes that but I have yet to find anything with this specific issue where its the default folder.
I've tried deleting them manually but the process usually crashes explorer and in one case killed the hard drive.
what could cause something like this?

Platon Koukidisthis is happening more and more on various systems. Chrome seems to make a new tmp file every minute. There has to be a solution for this as it has now killed 3 different hard drives for me.

Platon Koukidissome one from Google please look at this! this can't be normal, chrome isn't supposed to eventually fill up your hard drive with tmp files you can't clear out!

XanderHave you tried using Command Prompt to navigate to this folder ? Try running cmd, then doing "cd %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\" - then "del *.tmp"
