Download a file

To save a file or image on your computer or device, download it. The file will be saved in your default download location.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. Go to the web page where you want to download a file.
  3. Touch and hold what you want to download, then tap Download link or Download image.
    • On some video and audio files, tap Download Download.

To see all the files that you've downloaded to your device, open the Downloads app. Learn more about managing downloaded files.

Pause or cancel a download

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top right, tap More More and then Downloads.
    • If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads Download.
  3. Next to the file that's downloading, tap Pause Pause or Cancel Cancel.

Share downloaded files

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top right, tap More More and then Downloads.
  • If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads Download.
  • 3. To share a file, tap More More and then Share. To share more than one file, touch and hold the files that you want to share, then tap Share Share.

Delete downloaded files

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. At the top right, tap More More and then Downloads.
  • If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads Download.
  1. To delete a file, tap MoreMore and then Delete.
  • To delete more than one file, touch and hold the files that you want to delete, then tap Delete Delete.
