Check and delete your Chrome browsing history

You can view your browsing history in Chrome. You can also continue browsing what you’ve already started on a desktop or laptop computer, and find related searches.

If you don't want a record of the pages that you've visited in Chrome, you can delete all or some of your browsing history. If you delete your browsing history, it takes effect on all devices where you're signed in to Chrome and sync your history to your Google Account.

Separately, you can also delete your Google search history from your account.

What your history lists

Your history lists the pages that you've visited on Chrome in the last 90 days. It doesn't store:

  • Chrome pages, such as chrome://settings
  • Pages that you've visited in private browsing
  • Pages that have been deleted from your browsing history
Tip: If you're signed in to Chrome and sync your history, then your history also shows pages that you've visited on your synced devices.
