- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app

- In the address bar, type your search.
- Tap the result, Go, or Continue

Tip: As you type, you may get suggestions based on your web and app activity. You can delete individual suggestions from your search history or hide sections of suggestions based on your activity when they appear. Learn more about your activity.
Search quickly by voice
If you frequently search by voice, the right of the search bar may display the shortcut Voice search . If it doesn't and you want to add Voice search

- Tap More

- Select Voice search.
Search within a web page
You can find a specific word or phrase on a web page on your Android device.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- Open a web page.
- Tap More
Find in page.
- Type your search term.
- Tap Search
.
- Matches are highlighted. You can see where all the matches are located on a web page using the markers on the scrollbar.
Search for words on a web page
You can find more info about a specific word or phrase on a web page with Touch to Search.
Important: To use Touch to Search, Google must be set as your default search engine.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app

- Open a page.
- To highlight a word on a page, tap it or touch and hold it.
- To show search results for the highlighted word, tap the panel that opens at the bottom of the page.
Turn Touch to Search on or off
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- Tap More
Settings.
- Tap Google services
Touch to Search.
- Turn Touch to Search on or off.
Tip: You can also turn on "Include surrounding text in Google searches" to improve your search results.
Search the web with images
You can learn more about an image with Google Lens. For example, you can use a picture of a plant to search for more info about what kind of plant it is and find similar images.
Before you start:
- Set Google as your default search engine.
- Get the latest version of the Google Search app. Learn how to update your Android apps.
To learn more about an image:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- Go to any site with the image you want to learn more about.
- Touch and hold the image.
- In the context menu, tap Search with Google Lens.
Search copied images from the web
You can find more info about an image copied to your clipboard from a web page.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- Touch and hold an image on a web page.
- Tap Copy image.
- Tap the address bar. You'll find the copied image as a search option.
