Save your payment info in Chrome

You can save time by letting Chrome Autofill fill in payment forms for you. If you enter new info in a form, Chrome will ask to save it. To accept, choose Save.

Buy something online

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In a payment form, click the credit card field.
  3. From the list, choose the credit card you want to use.
  4. If you're asked to verify your card, enter the CVC number.
    • You get two chances to enter your CVC number. When you enter a CVC number, you might see a temporary charge.
    • After two tries, you’ll have to wait before trying again.
  5. If you want to turn off verification, check "Keep a copy of this card on this device." Click Verify.

If you don't see Autofill suggestions when filling out a form, the website might not be secure enough to use Autofill, or Autofill may not detect all the necessary form fields. Learn more about how Google saves and protects credit card information.

Add, edit, or delete your credit card

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Passwords and forms," click Autofill settings.
  5. Add, edit, or delete a credit card in Chrome:
    • Add: Next to "Credit cards," click Add.
    • Edit: To the right of the card, click More More and then Edit.
    • Delete: To the right of the card, click More More and then Remove.

If you're signed into Chrome, cards saved in Google Pay will show up as Autofill suggestions. Some cards saved to Autofill while signed in to Chrome are also saved to Google Pay.

Add, edit, or delete a card in Google Pay

If a credit card is saved in Google Pay, go to payments.google.com and then Payment Methods.

  • Add: Click Add payment methods. If you don't see this option, go to play.google.com/store/account to add a payment method.
  • Edit: Below the card, click Edit.
  • Delete: Below the card, click Remove.
Stop syncing to Google Pay

If you stop syncing to Google Pay, your payment information will still be stored in Chrome.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More Moreand then Settings.
  3. At the top, under "People," click Sync.
  4. Turn off Sync everything.
  5. Turn off Credit cards and addresses using Google Pay.

Delete a credit card from Autofill

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In an online form, click on a text field.
  3. Use your keyboard's arrow keys to highlight the info you want to delete.
  4. Delete it:
    • Windows: Press Shift + Delete.
    • Mac: Press Shift + fn + Delete.
    • Chromebook: Press Shift + Alt + Backspace.

Delete all your saved info

  1. Clear your browsing data.
  2. Under "Advanced," choose Autofill form data.

Stop saving info to Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Passwords and forms," click Autofill settings.
  5. Turn off Autofill forms.
