Visit a site by turning off Chrome's ad blocker

You won't get ads on websites that have poor ad experiences, like:

  • Too many ads
  • Annoying ads with flashing graphics or autoplaying audio
  • Ad walls before you can find the content

When these ads are blocked, you'll get an "Intrusive ads blocked" message. Intrusive ads will be removed from the page.

Learn more about why Chrome blocks ads in the Google blog.

  5. Under “Default behavior,” select Any site you visit can show any ad to you.

Allow ads on specific sites

You can allow any site you visit to show any ad to you.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Go to a page you trust that has blocked ads.
  3. To the left of the web address, select View site information Default (Secure) and then Site settings.
  4. Under “Permissions,” next to “Intrusive ads,” select Allow.
  5. Reload the web page.

Stop Chrome from blocking ads on your site

Chrome removes ads from websites that violate the Better Ads Standards. The standards discourage the types of ads that are particularly annoying to people.

If ads are being removed from a site that you own, visit the Ad Experience Report. In the report, you'll learn about any issues found with your site and how to address them.
