Read pages later and offline
You can save webpages to read later, even if you're offline, like when you're on an airplane or somewhere else without an Internet connection. To read webpages later offline, download them in Chrome ahead of time.
Save a page from Chrome to read later
You need to be online to save a page.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- Go to a page you want to save.
- To the right of the address bar, tap More
Download
.
You can also touch and hold a link, and then tap Download link.
Read a saved page
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- At the top right, tap More
Downloads.
- If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads
.
- If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads
- Tap the page you want to read.
When you're back online, see the live version of the page by tapping Reload .
Delete a saved page
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
.
- At the top right, tap More
Downloads.
- If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads
.
- If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar. Tap Downloads
- Touch and hold the page you want to delete.
- At the top right, tap Delete
.
