When you install Chrome, you can get to the app faster if you add it to your home screen, lock screen, or your dock. After you install the Chrome app and open it once, the Chrome widget will be available.
Add Chrome widget to your home screen- On your home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- At the top of the screen, tap Add

- Search for Chrome widgets and select Chrome.
- Swipe to find Chrome widgets.
- At the bottom on the screen, tap Add Widget

- On your lock screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap Customize.
- To select a new wallpaper with widgets, tap Add New
- To select a new wallpaper with widgets, tap Add New
- To customize your lock screen, tap the lock screen.
- On the screen, tap Add Widgets.
- If your lock screen already has widgets, under the time, tap the box with widgets.
- Under "Add Widgets," scroll to find and tap Chrome.
- Swipe left for available widgets.
- Tap or drag the widget to your lock screen.
- Next to "Add Widgets," tap Close

- At the top right, tap Done.
- To exit customization mode, tap the lock screen again.

- Scroll, then tap Edit.
- At the top of the screen, tap Add
- Search for Chrome widgets and select Chrome.
- Swipe to find Chrome widgets.
- At the bottom on the screen, tap Add Widget
- To complete, tap anywhere on the screen.
- To add the Chrome app
, you may have to create space on your dock.
- To remove an app, touch and hold the app you want to remove.
- Drag the app to your home screen and release it.
- Touch and hold the Chrome app
- Tap Edit home screen.
- Drag the Chrome app to your dock and release it.
- To complete, tap anywhere on the screen.
