Where are my bookmarks (favorites)?

How do I import bookmarks (favorites)?

How do I make Chrome my default browser?

Go to Chrome menu > Settings. In "Default browser" section, click the Make Google Chrome my default browser button.

How do I set my home page?

If you'd like to see a set of pages when you open Chrome every time, go to Chrome menu > Settings > On startup > Open a specific page or set of pages and click Set pages. Enter the webpage's address and click OK.

If you'd like to see the "Home" button Home button, go to Chrome menu > Settings > Appearance and select the Show Home button checkbox. Click Change to update what page you'd like to use as the home page.

How do I enable/disable cookies?

Go to Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings. In the "Privacy" section, click Content Settings to adjust cookies settings.

How do I change the theme?

Go to Chrome Web Store’s Theme Gallery. Click a theme to preview it. If you like it, click Choose theme to apply the theme.

How do I enable pop-ups?

When Chrome blocks a pop-up, a Pop-ups icon appears in the address bar. You can click Pop-ups to allow the pop-up to appear. To customize pop-up settings for specific websites, go to Chrome menu > Settings. In the "Privacy" section, click Content Settings to adjust pop-ups settings.

How do I start Incognito mode (private browsing)?

Go to Chrome menu > New Incognito Window or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+N (Mac: ⌘-Shift-N). In Incognito mode, your browsing and download histories and cookies will not be stored when you close Chrome.

How do I zoom in and out (page zoom and text zoom)?

To adjust the default zoom settings for all the webpages you visit (global zoom), go to Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings > Web Content. Use Font size to adjust the text size and Page zoom to adjust the size of everything on your webpages, including images and videos. If you only want to zoom in or out on the page you're viewing, go to Chrome menu and use the + or - buttons in the Zoom section. You can also press the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl and + to zoom in and Ctrl and - to zoom out (Mac: and + to zoom in and and - to zoom out).

How do I update Google Chrome?

Updates are available if the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar shows a little up arrow. Click it and select Update Google Chrome. You can also manually check for updates by clicking the Chrome menu Chrome menu and selecting About Google Chrome.
