Default Apps

When you install Chrome for the first time you will notice a set of default Google applications on the Apps tab of the New Tab page.

We’ve placed Google Docs, YouTube, Google Search, Google Drive, and Gmail, on the Apps tab for easy access to some of our most popular apps.

The Google Drive app has permission to:
  • Write and read data from your computer’s clipboard, which allows for copy and paste functionality
  • Show HTML5 notifications
  • Store offline data
  • Access background apps
