Sync and view tabs and history across devices

You can see the sites that you've visited and open tabs across your computers, phones and tablets if you sign in to Chrome.

You can do things like:

  • Continue working with tabs from your computer to your phone
  • Find a page that you were looking at on your phone and see it on your computer

See the pages that you've visited on all your devices

By default, if you sign in to Chrome, your history is available across devices.

If you use a sync passphrase, you'll only see sites that you visited on other devices if you typed their web addresses into the search bar.

  1. On your Android device, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. Make sure that you're signed in:
    1. Tap More More and then Settings. If your account isn't listed at the top, you must sign in to Chrome.
    2. At the top-left, tap Back Back.
  3. Tap More More and then History.

Stop sharing history across devices

If you don't want to sync history from one of your devices, go to your sync settings for each of your devices, and untick the box next to "History". Find out more about changing your synced data.

See the tabs that you have open on other devices

By default, if you sign in to Chrome, you can visit the tabs open on one device from a different device.

  1. On your Android device, open the Chrome app Chrome.
  2. Make sure that you're signed in.
  3. Tap More More and then Recent tabs.

Stop sharing tabs across devices

If you don't want to sync tabs from one of your devices, go to your sync settings for each of your devices and untick the box next to "Open tabs". Find out more about changing your synced data.
