You can change the language Chrome uses and have Chrome translate webpages for you.
Translate webpages in Chrome
When you come across a page written in a language you don't understand, you can use Chrome to translate the page.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
.
- Go to a webpage written in another language.
- At the bottom, tap Translate.
- Chrome will translate the webpage this one time.
- To always translate from this language, switch on the "Always translate [language]" setting.
- Tap Done.
Not working? Try refreshing the webpage. If you still can't tap Translate, the language might not be available for translation.
Change your default translation settings
By default, Chrome offers to translate pages written in a language you don't understand.
You can control whether Chrome will offer to translate webpages.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app

- At the top right, tap More
Settings.
- Tap Content settings
Google Translate.
- Turn off Google Translate.
- Tap Done.
If you chose to always translate a language but you've changed your mind, you can delete your translation preferences.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
.
- At the top right, tap More
Settings.
- Tap Content settings
Google Translate.
- Tap Reset Translate Settings.
- Tap Done.
