How to adjust the app volume
Your microphone's volume gain is automatically controlled for some apps to ensure a good audio quality.
Turn off auto controlled microphone volume
On some apps, you can adjust the microphone volume through Chromebook.
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Under “Microphone,” you’ll find a message that identifies which app controls your microphone.
- Select Settings

- Select Settings.
- Turn off Allow apps to automatically adjust mic volume.
- You can now adjust your mic volume on your device.
Device Tip: Some apps don’t allow their mic volume to adjust manually.
