Unable to find a previously installed extension or app

There may be several reasons why you are unable to locate an extension or app that you had previously installed:

  • You may have inadvertently uninstalled the extension or app. If that’s the case, you can visit the Chrome Web Store, locate the extension or app, and reinstall.
  • The extension or app was suspected of being dangerous and was automatically removed. Learn more about product removals.
  • Your browser user profile may have become corrupted. If this has happened, you can try creating a new one to replace the corrupt profile.
  • The developer of your item may have updated permissions. When this happens, you’ll be prompted to accept or deny the updated permissions. The item will be uninstalled from your New Tab page until you accept the updated permissions.
