Print from Chrome

You can print from Chrome using your computer or mobile device. With Google Cloud Print, you can make your printers available to you and anyone that you choose.

Set up Google Cloud Print

If your wireless printer says that it's Cloud ready, follow your printer manufacturer's instructions or see setup information for Cloud-ready printers.

If your printer doesn’t say it’s Cloud ready, follow the steps below.

  1. Turn on your printer.
  2. On your Windows or Mac computer, open Chrome.
  3. At the top-right, click More More and then Settings.
  4. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  5. Under "Google Cloud Print", click Manage.
  6. If prompted, sign in with your Google account.
  7. Select the printers that you want to connect and then click Add printer(s).

The printer is now associated with your Google account and connected to Google Cloud Print. You can print to this printer from any device where you're signed in to your Google account.

Print using Google Cloud Print

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Open the page, image or file that you want to print.
  3. Click File and then Print. Or, use a keyboard shortcut:
    • Windows & Linux: Ctrl + p
    • Mac: ⌘ + p
  4. In the window that appears, click Change to choose your Google Cloud Printer.
  5. Change any print settings that you want.
  6. When ready, click Print.

If you're using your Chromebook at work or school, your network administrator might connect one or more printers for you. The printer will be available when you're signed in to your work or school account. Find out about using a Chromebook through work or school.

Print from a standard printer

To set up your printer, follow your printer manufacturer's instructions.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Open the page, image or file that you want to print.
  3. Click File and then Print. Or, use a keyboard shortcut:
    • Windows & Linux: Ctrl + p
    • Mac: ⌘ + p
  4. In the window that appears, select the destination and change any print settings that you want.
  5. When ready, click Print.
