In our organization we sometimes make printer changes to our Windows PC's by adding/deleting printers. The problem is in Chrome under printer destinations it still shows old printers as well as new ones.  How do we remove this?  This might work for a home user where its the same printer for years but in an enterprise this is no bueno.

This is same question as post: https://support.google.com/chrome/forum/AAAAP1KN0B0fZGINfqCXXc?hl=en   where that was a really poor answer by Rochelle.

We have the same problem. Users try to print to printers we have uninstalled already via Group Policy. Chrome remembers old printers with a broken link. You can just click on "see more.." in the printers list, so this isn't really a problem for knowledgeable users, but that doesn't exactly make up the bulk of our user base (¬‿¬).

We need a way to clear the printers in each users chrome browser with a policy in Google Admin, or maybe theres a registry edit that you could do through Windows group policy? Any ideas anyone?

+ 1 on this issue.  Thought it might be an issue with some kind of non-persistant caching and so restarted Chrome and Win10, but in both cases these old printers are showing.  Thought it might be cloud print related, but no printers are showing there either.

We are having this problem as well. I have just switched everyone on the network to a new print server, and Chrome still tries to find all of their printers that were on the old server first because of these "favorite" printers listed... this causes a massive delay as it has to time out on these before they can go try to find the new printer shares by clicking "show more"

This is very frustrating, as a few departments have to print from Chrome a ton, all day long.

@Dylan I wrote a quick one liner to delete the file in question that appears to cause this issue thanks to Gene's further investigation. I am not sure what side effects may come from deleting this file due to our accounts being Workspace accounts everything important is synced anyways.

del /f "%localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Preferences"
