Current ChromeOS updates

  • Device rollback protection version in Admin console back to top

As early as ChromeOS 145, you will be able to see the rollback protection version installed on your managed device. On Devices > Chrome > Devices in the Admin Console, select a ChromeOS device, select the OS tab and you will find Rollback protection version in the Operating system info table.

For more information, see View ChromeOS device list and details in the Help Center.

Upcoming ChromeOS changes

  • SkyVault Camera directory policy back to top

Starting in ChromeOS 146, a new SkyVault policy will allow Admins specify a location for storing Camera files when local storage is deactivated on user devices.

When Do not allow users to store and read local data (LocalUserFilesAllowed) is enabled, local storage is deactivated on user devices. This new SkyVault policy will allow Admins to extend that setting to apply for Camera files, using the Save to local Camera folder option.
