Chrome app and extension permissions

Confidential. Do not share. Trusted Tester only. Not publicly available.

For administrators who manage Chrome browser or ChromeOS devices for a business or school.

As a Chrome Enterprise admin, you can control whether your Chrome users can install extensions or ChromeOS apps based on the information an extension can access—also known as permissions. For example, you might want to prevent users from installing extensions that want permission to see a device location.

Review permissions

Developers can request permissions for their extensions. To access specific extension APIs and features, developers must declare permissions in the extension's manifest.
