Overview: Manage Chrome profile integration

As a Chrome Enterprise admin you can enforce policies from the Google Admin console that apply when users sign into Chrome browser on any Windows, Mac, or Linux computer, not just on corporate managed devices, using Chrome profile management.

With Chrome profile management you can manage the following:

  • Users who use their personal devices to access work resources.
  • Corporate partners accessing corporate resources from devices that are not managed by their contracting companies.
  • Mergers and acquisitions or distributed entities.

For organizations using third-party Identity Providers (IdPs),  you can use this integration to create managed Chrome profiles that provide the following advantages:

  • Enrollment—Allows customers who use a third-party IdP to enroll in managed Chrome profiles with a direct URL, without needing to sync identities with Google. Users can then sign into a Chrome managed profile with their third-party ID username and password.
  • Enforcement—Helps admins enforce access to corporate resources through managed Chrome profiles, enhancing security and compliance.
