Chrome Enterprise Core account types

When you sign up for Chrome Enterprise Core, you can verify your organization's domain name to create a domain-verified account.

Note: Provided-domain accounts are no longer available when you sign up online for Chrome Enterprise Core.

Email-verified accounts

  • You can invite up to 10 users at no cost.
  • Super Admin is the only admin role available. Custom roles and granular privileges are available only for domain-verified accounts.
  • You cannot create Groups for Business until the domain is verified. Group-based policies might be impacted. For details, see Get started managing groups for an organization.
  • Users only have access to apps and services available for the organization.
  • You can only manage user experiences related to the subscriptions of the organization.

Domain-verified accounts

  • You can create up to 10 users at no cost.
  • Manage users and groups by organizational unit and apply group-based policies that allow for more customization in your organization.
  • Custom roles and granular privileges are available only for domain-verified accounts.
  • You can apply Chrome profile policies on Chrome browser for Windows, Mac, and Linux. For details, see Understand Chrome policy management.
  • There are more options for purchasing additional licenses and features for your organization.

Provided-domain accounts

No longer available when you sign up online

  • You are limited to one admin user. For more users, you need to create an account using your own domain-verified account.
  • You cannot move from a provided-domain account to a domain-verified account.
  • You can’t sign up for Google Workspace services, ChromeOS upgrades, or any other Google products, upgrades, or services. To avail of these, you need to create an account using your own domain-verified account.
