Start a new conversation in a space grouped by topic

Important: You can no longer create a space grouped by conversation topic. Instead, new spaces have in-line threading. Learn more about when to use and organise a space.

If you're currently in a space grouped by conversation topic, you can create a new topic in the space.

Important: In a space grouped by topic, 'History' is on and you can't change this setting.

1. Open the Chat app  or Gmail app .
2. At the bottom, tap Spaces .
3. Select a suggested space or search for another space organised by group topic.
4. At the bottom, tap New topic.
5. Enter the message.
6. Tap Send .
