Age restrictions for video Hangouts in Google+
You can restrict people who are under 18 years old from joining your video Hangouts in Google+. There is an option available when starting a video Hangout to require guests to be at least 18 years old.
Video Hangouts in Google+ where participants must be at least 18 years old: When you start a video Hangout, you can restrict minors from joining it by selecting "Require guests to be 18+ to join this video call.”
Video Hangouts without an age restriction: When you first join a video Hangout, you're agreeing to be in a Hangout with everyone who is there. Anyone in a video Hangout in Google+ can add others, including people who are not in your circles.
Remember, you can block or ignore someone at any time. When you block someone in Hangouts, the person will also be blocked in other Google products including Google+, Google Chat in Gmail, and the Google Talk app.
- On computers: You can ignore someone by hovering over their image and clicking . Or you can close the video Hangout to leave immediately.
- On mobile devices: You can block someone by tapping their image and then tapping , or tap the to leave the video Hangout immediately.
Age restrictions with YouTube
People under the age of 18 are not allowed to watch R-rated videos in a video call. If an R-rated video is played, the underage participant will see a message that the content is restricted.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable in a video Hangout in Google+, press the exit button .
