An IM wasn't delivered
We're sorry that you're having trouble with Chat. If you find that one of your messages was not delivered, please try the following troubleshooting steps.
- Check your internet connection and then sign out and back in to Gmail or Google+. Most often, this problem is caused by a problem with your internet connection. It is likely that you were temporarily disconnected from the internet.
- Modify or disable your network security or firewall settings. Please check to make sure that your network security or firewall settings are not interfering with chat. Additionally, software on your machine such as browser extensions or toolbars can cause issues with chat. We recommend trying to disable that software.
- Wait 10 minutes. There could be a momentary issue with your internet connection or Google's servers. Please try again after waiting for several minutes.
If the issue persists, please visit the Chat forum to get additional support for your issue. The Chat forum has been closed to new posts in order to focus on Hangouts, but you can still search the forum for answers to issues or questions.
